About Me

My greatest passions are gender equality, knowledge, and the fight against sexual violence and domestic abuse.  I have compassion for all victims and minority groups, but this blog is primarily about female empowerment, sexuality, and gender equality.

I’m a lawyer, a former criminal prosecutor, with a degree in biology.  I’m an avid reader of non-fiction books.  I read to fulfill my curiosities about human behavior and to better understand how the world works.  I have found that things and people are rarely as they appear to be on the surface.  For years, I’ve had an almost obsessive interest in learning about what lies beneath the surface, through my reading and through my interactions with others.  I don’t think you have to agree with everything a person says or stands for to gain something of value from them. Through this blog, my hope is to increase awareness of today’s gender issues, open dialogue, and to learn from one another.

Oh, well — biology & law, eh? My other side is neuroscience!

I still remember my High School dilemna: the nice girls wouldn’t have sex, and the girls who had sex — well, they were not NICE girls!

It is still difficult for me to move that direction with women I meet socially/professionally, so I am very appreciative of women who take the lead that way.

Women’s needs are still far from being fully acknowledged, and women’s rights are still far from being fully respected.

  2. You are fucking awesome. I love your blog. Thanks for this, it’s presented in a just, fair, non-accusatory way, and it gives women logical explanations for why things exist. So when we get questions like, “what’s wrong with the double standard?” we have answers. Keep on!

  3. Mankini Revolution Rocks! It’s all about enlightenment, inspiration, and growth for everyone!
